Purpose of our Code of Ethics
The purpose of adopting a code of ethics for Opry North is, in our opinion, a very important first step for us to win over the artists trust and respect. We have heard of dealings between artists and media based companies that was not at true face value, and as always one of the parties did not get what was promised to them. We hope to change all that! We firmly believe that by working closely with the artist for the good of country music in Canada we can slowly oust the unscrupulous parties and make the business of music a professional place to deal in.
Opry North recognizes the difference between public persona and private person. We will only report or publicize on parts of the stage show, we believe that anything said or done off stage is private domain of the artist. If we think an event that happens off stage is news worthy we will always get the artist permission for us to print it at his discretion.
Opry North also recognizes that when we are covering a concert or event we are representatives of Country Music in Canada and will dress and act accordingly.
Lastly we want to let all artists know that we are always open to suggestions from the artists and we will look at any pictures we take of an artist over twice, if he finds them not up to his or her high standards and requests them to be removed from public viewing.
