Opry North came to be one and a half years ago to fill a void in the country music industry. While helping an unsigned artist to work at achieving her goal we began to witness certain actions, attitudes and a lack of unconditional support toward the artists that needed it the most.  We felt that more should be done to help them.  “Opry” was chosen because of the connotations to ‘tradition’, ‘longevity’, ‘talent’ and the brotherhood feeling of the Grand Ole Opry. “North” because we are Canadian.  We set out to gain the trust of the artists and to promote them worldwide.  We knew our first step had to be the establishment of www.opynorth.com - a new media frontier to benefit them with additional exposure.  We knew that if we could achieve the goals that we set for ourselves we would then have our own ‘stage’ to promote them.  Our second small step was giving all this for free.  Our next step will be to give you a stage show with a house band to let people in your home area hear you.  We have heard the voices of new independent country artists cry out time and time again,  four simple questions …

-         Who can we trust?

-         Where can we find a place to sing?

-         Where can I find a band to play with?

-         How can I do it at a low cost?

We at Opry North have tried our best to provide all of the support we possibly can and as a ‘no charge’ service for our artists.  We will always try to give this service to you in the future.  We want to provide more than just a stage for you to sing on, we want to provide a show for you to perform in – so we would like to invite you to come out and be a part of our team.  If we’ve learned one thing over the past year and a half it’s that you can accomplish anything by working together; it’s about time you didn’t have to work alone.
