Working as a team has enabled Kim and Wayne to turn their ideas into reality, first with the promotional website Opry North and now with Opry North’s Country Music Showcases.  While Wayne handles the ‘visual aspects’ of the running of Opry North, including the website designing, graphic designing for any and all promotional material, photography and audio conversions he also works on planning the format for the Showcases.  Kim takes care of communications, administration duties, research, the writing for most projects and also provides input into the planning of the Showcases.  Together they figure out the logistics in making those ideas real, to benefit the fans and the artists.  Putting in those long hours over the months it’s taken to get this Showcase together will be worth it when we hear the applause from the fans and see the smiles from the artists on stage.  They’re worth every minute of it.

We are delighted to welcome Gary Glenn to the Opry North Showcase Team.  Gary is our ‘Bluegrass Liaison’ and is instrumental in our being able to include an excellent Bluegrass band in the Showcase every month.  With the success of last year’s “Oh Brother, Where Are Thou” and the resulting “Down From The Mountain” tours the public’s interest in Bluegrass has begun to rise again, so we saw a chance to promote some incredible performers who have been overlooked too often.  Gary has YEARS of experience in the Bluegrass world and has headed up every notable organization relating to Bluegrass at one time or another.  Plus he plays just about everything, and very well indeed!  We knew that he would be the one to work with if we were to succeed in providing our information to the Bluegrass world and getting the Bluegrass bands to come out and ‘show their stuff’.   And he’s done an excellent job!  The bands we’ve been privileged to have participate so far have blown away the crowds out to see them and they’ve exposed a whole new audience to the sounds they may never have heard before.  So we’d like to thank Gary for being willing to work with us on this.  We couldn’t do it without him.
