Opry North is proud to announce that we are starting our own showcase for country music artists in Ontario. Starting in September we will be doing a show that will consist of five independent country singers and one high profile country artist that will be a special guest, when their schedule permits. Our second show will be in November and starting January 2002 we will be doing the show every month with this same format.
The show times will be the last Saturday of every month and the show times will be from 3pm to 6pm including two intermissions. After the show from 6pm to 7pm there will be a meet and greet, where you can get the artist’s merchandise and autographs. Admission is free
The venue has a large kitchen facility and the best food you’ll find anywhere and for a very reasonable price. They serve liquor and because it is during the day kids under 19 are allowed to attend with their parents.
With this format we are trying to achieve an atmosphere where the artist and the fans are relaxed and both can enjoy the show, and with some luck a place that everyone will know that you can come out, have a great time, meet some new friends and fellow colleagues.Note: To avoid confusion our board of advisors has defined a high profile country artist as an artist with a finished CD that has had air play on a major market radio station and a video that has been aired on CMT.
With our showcase we are trying promote traditional country, new country and all styles in between!
